Regular Online Auctions:
PRA conducts regular online only "Bid From Home" auctions,
generally at least 2 per month.
These auctions are consignment auctions, that feature items from
small hand tools to large semi trucks and construction equipment,
and are conducted at the PRA Auction Center.
The general public, lenders, dealers, bankruptcy trustees, or anyone
with the desire to turn un-needed items to cash quickly and hassle
free, are welcome to participate in these auctions as sellers.
The advantages of selling items on these auctions are many, as
opposed to the seller marketing and selling the items themselves.  The
sales process is extremely easy and painless. Just drop the items off at
the PRA Auction Center, we will catalog, photograph, market and
sell the item(s) on the next auction, and mail you a check!
This eliminates all the most undesirable aspects of selling something
for most people.  No phone calls from unqualified buyers who don't
show up, no people coming to your home, nobody insulting your item
as a negotiating tactic!
Not to mention the item may very well bring more money with buyers
competitively bidding on it, than it would have ever brought with
another method of marketing and selling!
The advantages theses auctions offer over conventional live auctions
done on site are also considerable. On a small to medium-sized
auction (a restaurant or small estate for example) the marketing
budget for a conventional live on-site auction might be $1500- $3000.
This is an up-front expense born 100% by the seller, money directly
out of the seller's pocket, before the auction process even begins!
The marketing cost to the seller for selling these exact same estate or
restaurant items at PRA's regular online auctions would be $0. No up
front money is required, and other than a $5 lot fee, only the
commission applies. There are no other costs to the seller, such as
marketing costs, cleaning costs, prep costs, trash removal, portable
toilets etc.
Additionally, although auction results can never be accurately
predicted, one would assume that exposing the same hypothetical
restaurant or estate items to a nationwide network of buyers rather
than just the local crowd, would yield much higher hammer prices.
Some advantages of these type of auctions to buyers are: The buyer
can comfortably and safely bid from home or work regardless of
outside conditions, or without travel.
The buyer can enter all of their maximum bids at any point during the
4 days the auction is conducted, and walk away. The software will
only use as much of the maximum bid as is necessary to keep the
bidder in the lead. If the bidder's maximum bid is exceeded by another
bidder, an email will immediately be sent to the first bidder. This
eliminates the need for a buyer to watch the auction lot-by-lot and
bid, as with a live or live with online support auction.

Other Online Auctions:
In some auction situations, it is impractical logistically to transport the
items to be sold to another location to sell them.
In the examples of a machine shop, manufacturing facility, large
restaurant, larger retailer, or large estate, it would likely be more effective
to conduct the online auction at the seller's site.
The advantages of conducting the auction online rather than live in these
situations are certainly worth noting.
Although the marketing costs to the seller in these situations are slightly
higher than our regular online auctions, they are nowhere near those
charged by most auction companies to market a live auction, and our
marketing models are considerably more effective. At PRA, we feel that
one of the major values we bring to the table is that we will bring more
buyers to the auction, with significantly less marketing dollars spent by
the seller .
Other advantages are that the buyers are welcome to come to the site
without battling crowds to inspect the merchandise, PRA hosts one or
more "Preview Days" prior to or during the auction. Parking is never a
problem.  Buyers may choose to just bid from work or home, without
travelling at all. This is obviously a much quieter, low keyed auction than
a live event. Unless signs are put up (seller's discretion) this type of
auction can virtually be done without the community even knowing there
is an auction going on. Of course in most situations, the members of the
community are potential bidders, and it is in the seller's best interest to
alert them, although this may not always be the case.
Specialty Online Auctions are something we are always excited to talk
with sellers about, whether they would be held at the PRA Auction
Center, or another location. If you have an idea for online auctions of
antiques, petroliana, toys, or other collectibles, stop in or give us a call!

Live Auctions/ Live with Online Bidding
Sometimes a good old fashioned live auction is still the best fit!
They are fun, fast paced and exciting, and usually have food too!
We have a large modern auction facility ready for your live auction, or let
us come to you!
Again, we at PRA feel the biggest value we bring to the table in this
auction format is our aggressive cost effective marketing models. We will
bring more buyers, at considerably less cost to the seller!
